marketing user checkbox is disabled while creating user, how to enable that?

So I have started Business Administration Specialist Superbadge and I am stuck at Challenge 2 of it because of the error "Lincoln Ulrich cannot set up and execute marketing campaigns to his accounts." I cannot select the field "Marketing user" because it is disabled for some reason.

Hello Shivani,
You have to change the license type from Salesforce Platform to Salesforce and there you need to choose the Profile as Standard User.

Even i have the same problem , I have already assigned salesforce licence to 2 users, and if i  freeze one of  the user with salesforce licence and try to assign the salesforce licence to this MC user it is not even showing me the salesforce licence even after multiple refresh .So is there any other option because i am unable to select the marketing checkbox for other licences?
