Have lightning edit use more of the display

On any object if our users click edit or new, what comes up to key only shows on half the screen. Is there a way to have lightning use more of the display in edit/new mode for all objects?.   If they click on a field to edit one field from display mode it uses the screen that the display uses which uses the whole screen.
Users in lightning are complaining about having to do to much scrolling to enter the data.

Hi Rick,

Greetings to you!

Unfortunately, we cannot use the full page for new/edit action as of now. There's an idea which is active on the success community with a similar discussion for which you can upvote so that it gets available in the future.

However, you can use Compact density setting. It will reduce some space between fields and you will be able to see a few more fields in the modal box. From Setup in Lightning Experience, enter Density Settings in the Quick Find box, and then select Density Settings. Or you can click the profile icon and change the display density.

I hope it helps you.

Kindly let me know if it helps you and close your query by marking it as solved so that it can help others in the future. It will help to keep this community clean.

Thanks and Regards,
