App Customization Specialist Step 4: Correct objects not assigned

I'm a bit frustrated.  I've been progressing well with the Superbadge, but the report stuff seems to not be working.  I've researched similar questions and, although I think I'm doing the right thing, I get: The 'Users with Volunteer Shift Worker Records' Custom Report Type does not have the correct objects assigned.
I feel like I'm missing something really simple.  I created a report type called "Users with Volunteer Shift Worker Records".   I believe the report type only needs Users (A) and Volunteer Shift Workers (B).  The "fields available" though shows 70 fields available from users and 0 available from Volunteer Shift Workers.  What am I doing wrong that would cause the challenge check to fail?

Have you tried deleting the report type and recreating it?

Thanks, Khan.  I tried to make a few changes, and now I'm getting this unhelpful message: "Looks like something went wrong, please try again later."

That's not very specific.  I'm guessing that the SFDC Trailhead tool is down or something.  Very odd.

Hey, David. This is what I see on mine. Can you check field level security on Volunteer Shift Workers?

I was able to get past the unspeficied error, but I'm still failing wiht the same error message.  I've looked this over multiple times, read the links Khan recommended, and still have no clue what is wrong.  As a side-note, I've only focused on building the report type and reports associated with Users with Volunteer Shift Worker Records.

I'm beginning to feel that the error message is inconsistent with the actual problem

John, thanks for the feedback, I have 70 Users and 16 Volunteer Shift Records (I added a few more than you, it seems)

Shis is what I have for my custom object fields and the report type fields (I apologize for the text size). User-added image

John, I did that and the Challenge error went away.  Never would have guessed that one :)   Now I need to finish the rest of step 4.  Thanks!
