App customization specialist error "# of Volunteers Still Needed"

The '# of Volunteers Still Needed' field on the 'Volunteer Shift' record is not working as expected. I have tried everything on this.User-added imageUser-added imageUser-added image

I have tried multiple formulas for the # of Volunteers Still Needed. I have also deleted te fields and remade them.
Any help is appreciated!
