What is “Optional For” under product related list in salesforce cpq?

Hi,

Optional For means this is a sub-product that is optional for another product. Options mean that this product has optional sub-products.

Hi @Vinay  Thanks..Could you  please  explain little more (ex.., or scenario) to understand better. Is there any Salesforce Document related Optional For?

For example,  TV can have USB port which is optional for,   For options would like a list of available options like USB port, HDMA etc on TV.

I tried to check on documentation but haven't found related to that.

It is the reverse lookup for the Options.

If Product A has an "Option" of Product B , if you go to Product B , in the "Optional for" related list , you will see Product A.

remembering that the "Options" would be a joining object.  A product could have many optional products.  And a Product could be an option for many other products.
