How can I access Salesforce Connect: OData 4.0 in my Sandboxes?

I am working on adding FusionAuth as an external data source via Salesforce Connect: OData 4.0. Currently, this option is only available in the Type dropdown box on my Production Org but none of the 3 other sandbox orgs. How do I get access to this so that I may test out the connection in my developer sandboxes?

Hi Sean,

For Salesforce Connect, the adapter that connects to the external system. The valid values are:

- OData—OData 2.0 adapter
- OData4—OData 4.0 adapter
- SfdcOrg—cross-org adapter
- ApexClassId—DataSource.Provider class that defines the custom adapter
created via the Apex Connector Framework

If you have oData 4.0 Adapter for Salesforce Connect missing. Please note that this is the part of the Lightning Connect which is a license provisionable feature. Raise a support case and reach out to your Account Executive team to get this enabled

Let me know if this helps, if it does, please mark this answer as best so that others facing the same issue will find this information useful. Thank you

Hi Sean,

OData is only available to connect via Lightning Connect and you might need to purchase it.

Check below references for considerstion and limitations of OData 4.0.
