I was getting the same issue today. I set a debug log & found out that there was an active Validaiton Rule on Opportunity causing issue. Deactivated the Rule & tried again. It worked!
Would recommend to set a debug log to identify the issue in your org.

Thank you for the solution.In my case the validation rules were in the case object.So guys whenever this error comes just make sure that you have to check the 3 standard ojects namely Account,Case or Opportunity. Among them some have validation rules and you just have to deactivate the validation rules by unchecking the active checkbox by clicking on edit for particular validation Rule.
