It is a learning platform specially designed for beginners. It has specially designed trails and mixes to serve your interest. Further, you can also look for documentation on "developer.salesforce.com/docs".

He is David Liu and you get to watch short videos of each topics which are very basics and explained in very detail and the simplest way.
And Yes, you can go through Trailhead as well which has many modules from basics to big topics in Salesforce.
