email limits

hi, we currently send 2,500 emails to our customers (they all have accounts). These emails include invoices, appointments etc. These are operational emails on a daily basis. We are ramping up these emails to possibly 10,000 to 15,000 per day. We will not be able to send these. Do we have to use an external app for this as SF cannot do this. Compared to many large companies on SF, we are a medium sized company - what do other companies do? thanks for any advice

Each organization can send single emails to a maximum of 5,000 external email addresses per day. "External emails" refers to any email that's not associated to a Contact, Lead, or User.

thanks Abhishek, we are sending emails to our customers but the limit is now very near. The documentation link you have provided says increases are very rare and very strict. We have 400,000 customers. we will need to send 20,000 emails per day. I assume that SF cannot cope with this amount of customers?

Maybe they are using Mass Email.

It depends based on their usage and functionality.

For further increase or clarification, you have to reach the salesforce support team.
