livechat using deployment.js agent status control

Hi,

 

we faced an issue that we need to control if the liveagent is online or offline without setting up the HTML button. Is it possible to retrieve the information about agent status after we do liveagent.init() without passing the html buttons that will start the chat later?

I am afraid this might not be possible to control the button without passing the parameters.
