Permission set and Profile

What can not be done through permission set and can be done via profile? I do not think permission set is replacement of the Profile.

Hi Anmol,

Permission set is not a replacement for profile. Permission set it used to given extra access to user in a profile.

Suppose if all the users in the profile need read,Create,edit access for particular object but one user in the same profile need delete access. if the access is given in profile then other users also get it.

So you can create permission set for that and give delete access for that object and assign that permission set to that user.
