Hi Karthik,

Greetings to you!

Trial Accounts are always Professional Edition (No API).

Editions with API Access:
To use the API, your organization must be on one of the following 4 editions (the API is enabled by default):

1. Enterprise Edition
2. Unlimited Edition
3. Developer Edition
4. Performance Edition

Editions with no API Access
1. Professional Edition
2. Essential Edition

You can sign up for a free Developer Editon at https://developer.salesforce.com which is an Enterprise Edition with limited data storage and licenses.

Check API is enabled or not:
Check on the profile for the user. Access the profile settings in order to verify that API is enabled as well.
Click Setup -> Quick Find -> Profiles.
Select the profile that you need to check, and under "Administrative Permissions" verify if API Enabled is checked.

I hope it helps you.

Kindly let me know if it helps you and close your query by marking it as solved so that it can help others in the future. It will help to keep this community clean.

Thanks and Regards,
Khan Anas
