insufficient privileges to run optimizer

I started today with the Lightning Roll out Superbadge but ran into problems on the first challenge already. Two issues need resolving
  • I typed in Optimizer in Setup, but nothing is displayed. On the community site I found a resolution to copy /ui/setup/optimizer/OptimizerSetupPage?setupid=SalesforceOptimizer this into my address. I then get a insufficient privilege error. I am signed in as an administrator.
  • The challenge fails as it cannot find user John Wiseman. I have confirmed that he exist with the correct profile and license. I think it might to do with the alias or nickname not being correct.
Any help would be appreciated.

To run Salesforce Optimizer, below permissions are required in the Profile 
1. Customize Application
2. Modify All Data
3. Manage Users

Were you able to resolve it? I'm facing the same issue where I get insufficient privileges when trying to paste this URL even though I'm Admin and have all the above mentioned permissions
