How do i connect 40 Salesforce environments as SDP's to IDP external company server

Do you mean service provider by SDP?
I assume you have 40 salesforce instances/systems which you want to connect to an external identity provider.
If so, you have to create single-sign-on settings in your Salesforce orgs if you want to establish SAML connection otherwise you can create Auth Providers in case your identity provider supports OpenID Connect.
