Auto-number must be in the format of {YY}{0000}

We have a certain case record type whose cases require a special auto-numbering system. This auto-number must be in the format of {YY}{0000}. The number in {0000} needs to reset to 1 every January 1. So, if the very first case this year is 200001, and the

You can create  Auto Number Field {YY}-{0000}, but you have to "reset" autonumber manually every 1 january.

Then you can create a workaround. Instead of using standard autonumber field, create your own custom "autonumber" field.
Create a record to store your current number on (starting from 0000). Create a flow that will catch this number and assign to the custom field with the current year (formula) and add 1 to prior value for next time. Then create a workflow / flow that will reset this number on the first of January.
