Salesforce career is divided into various parts
1. Developer
2. Admin

If you choose to become a salesforce developer, you need to have good hands-on Javascript and Apex coding.
As a Salesforce developer you need to have knowledge of test class, flows, validation rules, batch class, aura component, future methods, and visual force page, Triggers, and scripts.
You also have to learn about the manual working of the salesforce interface and how things work on it.

if you choose to become a salesforce admin, you need to have good hands-on Manual functioning of the salesforce interface and validation rules , flows.

I hope this will give you some hint about the salesforce career

wish you all the best for your career
