Hello Leticia,

Salesforce already give us a functionality like Pop up screen on button click.
For this first you should create a Quick Action and select Lightning component which you want to show up on this Quick Action .
And then set this Quick action in lightning mobile & quick action from page layout.
Then you will be able to show up a pop up on button click
