populate lastmodifiedby in a custom field using trigger on same object

Hi Guys - how to populate lastmodifiedby on a custom text filed using trigger on customobj__c. please suggest

Hi Roni,

You can create a formula field and show the lastmodifiedby FirstName and LastName and in this way you dont need code in trigger still if you want it in trigger, please write down your code in After insert/update. Please let me know if you need more help.

Thanks, but I need to track history and formula fields can't track history
