Is learning Salesforce worth?

Guys I have joined a startup coming which is asking me to learn Salesforce and start working on it. As I have learned Java and have also worked in a small firm for 1 year on Java. Now should I start learning Salesforce or look for other job in Java. Is learning Salesforce worth for long run or should I get expertise in java

Hi Rima,

Salesforce is doing good in the CRM Space now and in the next five years, it will continue to be on the top as per the predictions and ongoing customers count for Salesforce.

In the long run, there is no guarantee of any technology because of innovation in every domain, so we cannot predict the future. I recommend learning both Java and salesforce.

Apex code in the salesforce is almost similar to Java and you need to learn administration for automating the process. It is always good to have knowledge of one object-oriented language and packaged application like Salesforce. In the future, if you get an opportunity to learn something new you can definitely apply this knowledge.

Salesforce is the world's No 1 CRM. So learning Salesforce definitely worths.
Since you learned Java, so you don't have to worry about learning salesforce, Salesforce Apex is similar to Java.

The best thing of Salesforce is that a lot of things can be done via button-click administration, even automation such as automatically creating tasks, sending emails, or making field updates.

In fact, Salesforce Developers have more worth then PHP, Java, and .net developers.
