List view name get's saved!

I am posting this question again because nobody knew how to solve this.

My team was creating some custom list views.

When I want to create my own custom list view, the "Name" field needs to be populated - I click in the field to add the name and all the other names added by my coleagues pop up! Some coleague even added someting personal accidentaly and it got saved.

It is as if I wrote something in google and "last searches" popped up.

I need to disable this.

Hi Jan,

Greetings to you!

As per the Standard Salesforce Functionality, there is no way of disabling the Auto-Completion for all fields. This can only be done by customizing the browser settings.

To Disable Auto-Fill on your Internet Explorer Browser
  1. Open Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  2. Click Tools and then Internet Options.
  3. In the Internet Options window click the Content tab.
  4. Click AutoComplete button.
  5. Check or Uncheck the options you wish to or not to use AutoComplete.

To Disable Auto-Fill on your Mozilla Firefox Browser
  1. Open Mozilla Firefox.
  2. Click Tools then Options.
  3. Click Privacy and select Firefox will: Use custom settings for history.
  4. Uncheck Remember search and form history.
  5. Click Ok.

To Disable Auto-Fill on Google Chrome Browser
  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Click the three lines beside star on the top right and click settings.
  3. Click Show Advanced settings.
  4. Uncheck the Enable Auto-fill to fill out web forms in a single click.

To Disable Auto-Fill on Safari Browser
  1. Open your Safari browser.
  2. Click Safari in the program menu and select Preferences in the drop-down menu.
  3. Click on the Autofill tab in the Preferences window.
  4. Click on each of the check boxes next to the autofill options to deselect them, turn off the autocomplete for each option.

I hope it helps you.

Kindly let me know if it helps you and close your query by marking it as solved so that it can help others in the future. It will help to keep this community clean.

Thanks and Regards,
Khan Anas

Hello Khan!

Thank you for your comprehensive answer.

That's quite bad news though because as I said - one of my coleagues accidentaly wrote something personal in the "Name" field and it got saved. Now it pops up everytime we need to create a list view.

Disabling auto fill would solve the problem for me, but I can not disable auto fill for everybody, also it's not very practical when using online search for documentation and problem solving.
