Number of task and event planed on a date auto number

I want to be able to pick a due date in the task or event and have a number of tasks and events on that date show up .User-added image

Are you looking something like that if you select any date, it should shows you the task or event for that date ?

when I pick a date I want to show the number of tasks and events i already have scheduled for this date
