Opportunity Stage changing account fields

I would like to have it so that when an Opportunity Stage equals Closed Won that the Type field on the Account Record associated to the opportunity changes from Prospect to Customer.  Is this possible?

This is not possible unless you code a custom S-Control.  Unfortunately, Workflow Field Updates do not cross from child to parent objects (but we really need them to!!).  Do a search on ideas.salesforce.com and pump up the vote for that feature request.

Thanks for the update.  I will definitely promote this.  That feature would really advance Salesforce.com.
