problem logging into APEX Explorer

I am unable to login using the APEX Explorer program because of the security token issue.  My IP is in the trusted network addresses.  I can login normally to SalesForce from my PC.  Why is the problem occuring thru APEX Explorer?

Any ideas how to correct this?

What error do you get ?

I am also having same problem. Error message is “Login failed: Unable to connect to the remote system”. One more thing am in trusted network only using this same system / IP even before Salesforce trusted n/w update. But whenever I am login through data loader its ask for security token. Why it’s happening / any suggestions.

Thanks,
Nazeer

Hi

I get 'Error logging in to Salesforce. Please check your usename and password'.

And I can login with the same user name and password to regular SF.com.

Thanks.

You need to use your security token with the password.

SimonF - How do you pass a security token with the password?  For that matter, what is the security token?  I suddenly can't log in to Data Loader and I've never had a problem before... Would love advice on how to fix this.  Thanks!
