I want to integrate my existing data from Act!2000 to salesforce, how can I do it?

What do you mean by "integrate"?  Is your objective to

  • Migrate your data from ACT to salesforce.com and then cut off your use of ACT

or

  • Provide regular (ongoing) updates between ACT! and salesforce.com

Hi,

But what procedures do I need for migrate data from Act!2000 to salesforce?

Do I need another program for migrating?  Thanks.

Daniel.

OK, so you wish to migrate the data...

There are a few options here:

1. There is an import wizard for ACT! migration in salesforce.com.  This supports importing only Contacts and Account (companies).  You would have to export this data from ACT!, and then cleanse it before importing (from a csv file).

2. Roll your own import.  Use ACT!PAK! ($99) to dump the data you want out of ACT!  Import the data using any number of 3rd party utilities, or write your own import routines using your favorite programming language.  This approach will allow you to take over all of the data you want (no restrictions).

3. If this not a time sensitive task, talk to your account manager about getting into the upcoming pilot for our new comprehensive import utility for ACT!.
