Gonzer Hello,
I've got a problem with reports for Cases and Contacts: I want to know how many Contacts opened cases in 2006. The count is made on the number of cases (one contact could have opened two or more cases). How can I have this number?

There is a nice solution described in Tom Tobin's blog posting here. Just have to add a custom field to Contacts and you will get the total you want.

Is there an update to this post? Is there a better solution? I'm interested in running statistics on several fields and it seems inefficient to create several custom fields to count all of the items i need metrics on.
