Obvious Can Salesreps install without Administrator Approval?
I'm new here and considering an application that has significant value to mobile field reps, but may not be a priority for a saleseforce administrator.
Is it possible to create native or composite apps that an individual sales rep can choose to install/use with his ownn login exclusively. In other words, can an individual without administrator priveledges install/configure/use an appexchange app.

You need specific permissions within your profile to
[1] Customise salesforce
[2] Create, Upload or Download AppExchange packages.
If you did have these permissions then when packages are installed you can have the option to chose who gets access to the new package functionality.
That said - it's highly unlikely that you'd be able to install any package under the radar of your sales administrator.
Most new packages would be creating new objects, reports, dashboards and tabs - all of which would be instantly visible to your admin when they look at the setup.
