How to create User Defined Data types?

I have certain set of fields that I want to add to each and every custom object I create.  Is there a way to create a user defined data type and refer it while creating the custom object?

No, you can't create your own composite field right now.

Thanks.  Is there a way to clone a custom object definition at least so that I don't go through the pain of creating those set of fields for every custom object?  I think Salesforce needs to come up with some quick way of creating fields for experienced users.  Wizard is good for beginners.
