How to cancel a contract via Api or Sforce Control

In a business point of view we need to "cancel" a contract, but in salesforce there´s only three values (Draft, In Approval, Activated) in the "contract status " field.

Also when a Contract finished (the "Contract End Date" equal to Today) the status field didn´t change.

Thanks.

Best Regards.

Hi rotviz,

You can create any number of additional statuses including "Cancelled".  The new status needs to be categorized into one of the three available status categories - "Draft", "In Approval" or "Activated".  It would be best to talk to customer support or your sales rep for deeper info on contracts.

Given that you only have three statuses for your contract currently, what would you have expected the contract state to be after the contract date expired?  Again, contact customer support or sales rep for more info.

Cheers

Hi Dave,

may be i haven´t understand your reply, but we expect that when the contract date expired ,automatize the contract status changed to "Cancelled" or something like that, and no one of the three states "Draft, In Approval, Activated" reflects the status cancelled.

Elsewhere i have contact with customer support logging a case in salesforce.

Thanks.

Best Regards.
