Is it possible to use the functions available for Validation rules in workflow rules?

Hi,

i was wandering if there is a way to use the functions available in validation rules for workflow rules. There are a number of neat functions availabe if one wants to create a validation rule. When it comes to creating workflow rules, there are few string comparison functions and that is all.

Any Ideas?

Hi Teddy

It might be possible for certain requirements.You could incorporate the logic using the Field update option in the workflows.

For example-You could create a flag using the update fields.Then check for the flag in the workflow rules..

Could you send me some more info on your requirement?
