Chris987654321 Sending an email when a Web to Lead comes in
I am trying to have Salesforce send an email when a new Lead is created through a Web To Lead form. I have tried doing this using a Workflow and a Trigger. Either way, the email is never sent. If I create a Lead manually, the email is sent.
Is there something about Web To Lead functionality that inhibits sending emails via Workflows and Triggers? Any help would be appreciated.
What about
"Setup" -> "Customize" -> "Leads" -> "Auto response rules"?
There is one more requirement that I didn't specify. It seems that the auto-response will email the person who filled out the web to lead form. I needed to send a sepcific email to a different email address.
I am sending an email to another application which handles our leads (we don't use SF for leads yet). So, I need to send an email to someone other than the person who fills out the lead form.
