Start a Dicussion Forum in Salesforce.com

Hi,

I am a new user of salesforce but i know a bit about salesforce and have a fair knowledge of S_Controls and other custom objects and controls.

The main thing is that i want to develop a discussion forum inside salesforce.com.
It can be a custom tab like the other tabs available in the SFDC.
Users can start a thread and others users can post a reply to that thread.

Can someone please help me  with this.

One idea, based off of the sample app in the salesforce_appexchange_developer_guide.pdf, would be to model your discussion forum off of their Job Application -> Review structure.

In your application, the Job Application would be analogus to a Discussion Topic while the sample app's Review object would be a comment in the discussion.

The sample app documentation starts dicussing this relationship in detail around Chapter 6.
