SIP Integration?

Does sforce/salesforce provide a way for us to add a component (ActiveX, Applet, etc..) so that we can place a VoIP call to a VoIP server or to a SIP server? So we can have click-to-call, etc.

Click to call is possible but not very elegant.  You can create a custom link to cause some external app that can respond to an http request to dial, but you would need to setup a link for each phone number you want click to call on and the links will not be next to the phone numbers.  But you can do it.
