Is this a limitation in Salesforce..on attachment security

Hi All,

We are working on a requirement, where once an attachment linked to an object should not be editable,deletable.Even the owner of the record should have view access. Cant we achieve this requirement in salesforce. Any pointers on this will be really helpful.

Hmm... I don't think you can prevent someone with Admin profile from deleting records, but you should be able to use workflow rules to lock a record.

Hi Dave,

Thanks a lot for the reply.I dont want to lock the record. I just want no one other than admin to edit or delete the attachments added to cases.

Let me know how to achieve the same.
