Required fields for standard SDFC fields

Does anyone know how to make SFDC standard fields mandatory? I need to make fields such as phone number, email, address, etc. mandatory and I just can't figure it out.
 
Any ideas?

You can make them required on the Page Layout. Just edit you page layout(s) , and click and highlight the fields you want to make required, click on Edit Properties, and select Required.
