Relate opportunity to case

Is there a way to add a lookup when creating a new case so we can associate/relate a case to an opportunity?

I believe you just need to add the Cases related list to your Opportunity page layout.

I did that and I see cases on the opportunity but I don't see a way to add a new case button as a part of that list.

also I don't see a way to add the opportunity as a relation on the new case screen

You can add a Case lookup field to the Opportunity but the limitation would be that you could only relate one case to it. Sorry I wasn't more help.
