Disable button

hi
 
I want to disable a  custom button on accounts for  particular profiles.How can i do it.
If anybody has worked on similar functionality please let me know.

I don't know if it's the most appropriate sollution to that quind of situation, but this is how I do it : 

- Create a new Page layout and hide the button ! Assign this page layout to the profiles you want !

- If needed you can  link a Record type as wel!
