Hi,

 

To Track the field history, follow the below steps:

 

Setup-->Customize-->select the object you want to configure-->fields-->click on 'Set history tracking' button-->check Enable History checkbox--->Select the fields that you want track--->click on Save button.

Finally you add the History Tracking related list to the pagelayouts.

 

To set the customize application

Goto the user's profile, click on Edit button from the Custom App Settings sections select the application that you want to make default.
