you can find the detailed infomation in the following link http://www.salesforce.com/us/developer/docs/fundamentals/Content/adg_reports.htm
Just create a new dashboard by selecting the component and reports from source, so if you drag and drop the report into the component, then you should be able to do it, let me know if you have any questions.
