Report having month by month comparison

I need to create a report on a single object that shows data in multiple columns for Jan, Feb, Mar ... Dec.

Is it doable in Salesforce by any means ? How ?

Use a matrix report, and group by whatever field on the object contains the date with the months you want to leverage on the Horizontal access. Set the group by to calendar months, and you should have what you want.
