Dynamic Dashboard vs Dashboard?

Hi

 

Can any one explain about the difference between dasboard  and dynamic dashboard .

 

And which sittuation we are using dashboards and also dynamic dasboards?

Dynamic dashboards are used to display information tailored to a specific user, while a normal dashboard shows data only from a single user's perspective. Use dynamic dashboards when you want to show each user user-specific data, such as their personal quotas and sales, or number of case closures, or leads converted, etc. Use a normal dashboard when you want to show regional or organization-wide data to a set of users, such as a region's sales, or a support team's performance on case closures.

So previously a dashboard can have only one static ruunig user and he can only access the perticular dashborad and here administrator needs to create or clone the dashboard for each level of access of data in the org. so suppose if there are 10-manager, 35-lead and 350-SE and 150-SSE so for each level there are different level of access and in that case admin needs to created the new one or clone with existing one dashboard and the count of dashboard will be 545.

But now as dynamic dashboard is available so here we just need to create the dashboard based on critaria and apply all the filters and the select the option on view panel of dahsborad and it will display the data based on the access user has.

In the right side of dashboard panel there is option : View Dashboard as and there they have provided 2 options 
1. RUN AS SPECIFIED USER.
2.RUN AS LOGGED-IN USER.

so here u can select first one if you want your dashboard to run as perticular user and for that you just need to type the name in the input area, select it and click on ok button so the dashboard will run automatically and display the figure based on the access of user.
For 2nd one option it will run the dashboard as the logged in user but further you can also select the specific user if you have authority.
