Custom tab limit exceeded when install an app exchange

Hi all

I am getting an error custom tab limit exceeded when install an app exchange, what can I do  to solve this?

deactivate the other tabs which you don't use and install it again

I tried to to detractive some of the tabs still the same error message

Not sure why but try to deactivate some more tabs and see if it works, if not you have to log a case with support

Was this ever resolved? Did you eventually get the package installed? I am getting the same error when trying to install a managed package. BTW, I did log a case with basic customer support and was told they could not help with this particular issue and thus referred me to developer.salesforce.com. Thanks!
