cstephens Package page layout override standard page layout
I've created a new page layout for the Application I've developed for the campaigns tab, and included this page layout in the package for that app, but the standard page layout is left as the default. Is there a way to have the app page layout take presedence as was my intention, or do I have to instruct my users to install the page layout after installation of the app?

For all standard object , there is a speedup step in which the user has to manually set the package page are default - you need to direct your users to set the package page as default after package installation.

Do you mean that users need to manually modify the page layout for the campaign tab to be my included page layout? Or is there like a simple checkbox somewhere that causes the packaged layout to override the default?
It needs to be done and we do it for our clients. Perhaps you too could do the same.
