How to convert S-Control to VFHow to convert S-Control to VF 

reharding new page layout

I have to create New Account Page Layout to have the following fields – Name, Description, Type, Industry, Annual Revenue, Employees, Billing Address, Phone, Shipping Address & have relevant related list

 

Still I am not able to get then solution.

 

1. I have created a Record type.

2.Created new page layout

3. clicked on Page Layout Assignment button >  Edit Assignment Button > Select PageLayout to USe----selected newly page layout which I have created > select Profile & > save

 

Now what to do....how would I add new fields & then how I would see only those fields in accounr object.

If you are administrator, do the following steps...

 

 

 

Go to Setup|Customize|Accounts|page Layouts

 

 

 

1)Click on Account Page Layout.

2) Click Save As on the top Left and save the Page Layout with different name.

3) Remove unnecessary fields from the Page Layout and keep the fields which you desire.

4) Save the Page layout.

5) Noe Click on pageLayout Assignment Button and assign that Pagelayout to your Profile.

 

 

Now you can see the new page Layout fro Account.

 

 

If you are not an Administrator, please contact your  System admin.

Hi,

 

Please verify for the record type assignment from the Profile level.

 

Goto the Profile-->Click on Profile that was assigned to you--->goto Record Type section-->click on Edit link next to the Account--->Select the record type and make it to available --->click on Save button.

 

After that click on New button and check for the record type selection population page.

Hi Charan,

I did the same thing.

1. created new profile.

2. created new account layout

3. edit  the assignment layout, select a profile which I have created then select new page layout which I have created then clicked on save.

 

4. In the page layout page there is a tab---Preview as...whn I clicked, it show the field which I am looking for., but then I clicked on account Tab....I am getting the same old fields...

 

Now Pls tell me what to do?

Currently you are checking with your self.

Please login with the User who is having newly created profile.
