Can I make a custom button on related list ?

Hi,

 

I made an Apex trigger to change status into completed.

So, I would like to display only archival record on Lead layout.

-- I'm using Japanese version, so I don't know an English name of related list:smileysad:

 

But, that related list only have "LogCall" button.

 

Can I add a "New Task" button ?

 

If it's not possible, does anyone have alternative solutions?

If you are looking at an individual Lead record and you cannot see the "New Task" button on a related list it is probably due to the fact that the Open Activities related list is missing from the page layout. You can display this related list by customizing the Lead page layout and adding the related list Open Activities. This will give you two buttons, New Task and New Event.

 

The "Log a Call" button is on the Activities History related list. Other buttons that are standard on the Activities History related list are Mail Merge, Send An Email,Request Update and View All.

Thank you for the reply.

 

I know that the related list Open Activities give the button New Task.

 

By using the Apex Trigger, I don't need to use Open Activities. Because Tasks and Events have already been completed.

 

So, what I wanted to say is "Can I use New Task button without Open Activities ?"
