LocalizedValue object ?

Some of my customers have an object called 'LocalizedValue'.

 

I don't see that object defined in the api document. What salesforce feature do I need to enable in order to have a 'LocalizedValue' object ?

Probably the Translation Workbench.  Look that up in Help & Training.  You used to have to get that turned on for an org by support, but I think in  Spring '10 it might just be on for everyone.

I've enabled the translation workbench feature and made a few entries with the app.

 

But I still do not see a LocalizedValue object  (17.0 api).  Is there any documentation on this anywhere ?

I'm not sure about it, I don't see it in the API docs.  What kind of data is in it?  Maybe it has to do with the localized email templates?
