SF object names.

Do the SF object names remains even if we delete that object. I get an error like below after I try to reuse the name for the deleted  object

'Error: This Unique Name already exists or has been previously used.  Please choose a different name.'

Hi Sanjay,

Yes, the Objects remain in the System, try the steps below,

To restore deleted custom objects:

  • To view a list of deleted custom objects:
    1. From Setup, click Create | Objects.
    2. Click Deleted Objects at the bottom of the list of custom objects.

The Deleted Objects link appears only when you have at least one deleted custom object in your organization. The number in parentheses indicates the total number of deleted custom objects.

  • In the Deleted Objects list, you can do any of the following:
  • Click Undelete to restore the object and its data
