Migration data

Hey guys,

I need to migrate data from one force organization to another.

In the app there are several custom objects with lookups to other objects.

What's the easiest way to migrate the data.

Thank you for your help!!

Use change sets...That would be wasier..

You may use Data Loader or the Salesforce to Salesforce connections which is used to connect Org's.

Hi,

There is a tool available for migrating data from one org to another org, the tool name is 'DreamFactory'.

Hey symantecAP,

What I understand is that, change sets can only contain modifications. Therefore, you can't use a change set to upload a list of contact records. In other words, change sets contain metadata, not data.

Hopefully you have another way,

Thank you!!

Hi,
The easiest way I know is to use third-party migration services. For example, many users prefer Data2CRM service due to its robust and secure.
You can transfer the desired data automatically or using the custom mode. All your data will be switched with no loss and with preserved relations between records. Deduplication is available.
Also, Data2CRM is a Salesforce partner, that makes you no worry about getting API key.

Take a look at the service on AppExchange
