Console List View

I'd like to be able to modify the activity view for my console to include data from other objects, like contacts. Is it possible to do that? Thanks.

Hi.

 

Yes you can. You must configure Console in order you select which objects are going to be shown. The route you should follow is Setup>Customize>Console>Console Layouts. In there, access the default layout or create and assign new ones for certain profile users. You will be able to select different list views (objects) for each layout.

But you can't make the actual *activity* list view itself include any more data from those other objects than just their name.  Or not easily anyway (there is something you can do with custom fields and some Apex triggers but it's nontrivial).

Is there somewhere I could get an example of doing this? I'm not afraid to jump into the code.
