creating custom reports

I want to create a cutom report but There no button for creating custom report in reports. I am using developer edition. I am using develper edition.

Hi,

 

If you want to create a Report using the existing Custom Report Types, goto Report Tab and click "New Report" button.

I believe that you are using someother custom profile instead of "System Admin".

If you didnt see the "New Report" button, please ensure that in your Profile, under "General User Permission" section, and set the following checkboxes to TRUE.

1. Create and Customize Reports

2. Report Builder

 

once this is done, Refresh the Report Tab page, and you can see the "New Report" button.

I am having new report button but I dont have new custom report button and am using system admin profile only..

Hi,

 

There is no such thing like New Custom Report button.

We need to create Reports using "New Report" button only.

 

Are you trying to create a "New Custom Report Type"?

Please help me by explaining your issue in detail.

I want to use more than one objects in my reports. How can I use it?

Hi,

 

You can still use more than one objects in your report.

 

For Example, if you clcik "New Report" Button and select "Opportunities with Products" Report Type.

 

In the Report Buider, you can find information  both from Opportunity and associated Product information.

 

Likewise, you can use Contact&Accounts, Campaigns with Contacts etc.,

 

If you want to have report and you want to have your own Object definition in the report, then you need to go for "Custom Report Type"
