data migration

If I need to make a data migration from MS CRM 4.0 into Salesforce's database.

What solution do I need to do it?

One solution is to add data from MS CRM into notepad and then import it into SF.

Is there another solution for doing it?

Is it possible to use sql code to make a transaction from source to the target?

You can use other etl tools aswell to move data between on-premises tools and sfdc.informatica or pentaho are suchkind of tools.

How are you enable to use tool like sfdc.informatica or pentaho to load the data to the SF database when the SF database is located online or Internet?

I can Understand to use the tool if the source and target database is located in my client computer.

Informatica is a tool that is available online as well (Cloud version) which can connect to your client computers with online salesforce. The pentaho as well has connection methods where you can connect to the salesforce.

You can try "Jitterbit Data Loader for Salesforce "  tool as well , this is a free tool

You have 3 options:

1. Salesforce Import Wizard - To open it go to Your Name | Setup | Data Management.

2. Force.com Data Loader - http://wiki.developerforce.com/page/Data_Loader

3. Use Salesforce API - http://www.salesforce.com/us/developer/docs/api/

I have done a more detailed blog post on this topic, if you are interested  "3 Tools to Import Data Into Salesforce"

Online tool - Skyvia allows to migrate data without coding.

First, you need to create a connection between two sources and then you would be able to migrate your data in several clicks. Have a look https://skyvia.com/gallery/import-dynamics-crm-data-to-salesforce
